Hi, my printer suddenly refused to read my 2 cards, that were working fine today, and I thought of cleaning them with contact cleaner (IPA based) so whaddya know, they work! Happily printing right now!

Try pulling the card out < 1mm and see if it is recognized.

That worked for us. Pull the card out about a milimeter and press the X. The card reader has been working for about a year before this.

Just finished building my I3. When I insert the SD card, the LCD says card inserted. However on the scroll menu it says no sd card and if I click this, there are no files shown despite the fact that there are several files on the card....advice?
I have the same problem.
Prusa sent out a different display, but the problem persists. 🙁

did you also change the display ribbon cable and check for bent pins in both where it plugs into the display and into the EINSY? also triple check it is plugged in properly not backwards on one end or offset by one pin.

Same issues here. if i push an SD card in all it gives me is a folder icon even though there are files on the SD card. Cant really do anything with my printer because of this

Format the SD card with "SD Card Formatter". You should also make sure that there are no special characters in the file name.

my MK3S / MMU2S also just stopped reading SD cards today. I've tried everything I can think of, factory resetting, firmware updating, firmware back-logging.. multiple SD cards, reformatting SD cards... same results. I'm getting the "External SPI flash W25X20CL is not responding. Language switch unavailable" which to my understanding is a memory issue and shouldn't affect the ability to read SD cards. It detects when an SD card is inserted, loads to the root and shows as empty- if i go back into the menu it then says "No SD Card"....? the drive on the screen says "F?"
Anyone have this same issue or can think of something I haven't tried yet??? Thank you!

Maybe your einsy or the card reader ( https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/external-spi-flash-w25x20cl-not-responding-error_112019 ) is faulty. I would contact the Prusa chat.
Did you check all connections from einsy to the LCD display (ribbon cable)?

This same thing happened to me today after many months of successful use.... did you ever get a resolution?
