Prusa i3 Axis problems

I just finished building my Prusa i3 (which was a ton of fun) but I've been having some issues with the Y, X and Exturder Axis. When I try and move them the motors move but nothing else. I'm thinking I didn't tighten the screws/nuts enough? The LCD doesn't seem to be showing any errors. Any help would be appreciated.

I uploaded videos to youtube showing the problems,

Thanks,
Nate

Re: Prusa i3 Axis problems

Hi Nathan

Yeah, it does look very much as though the pulleys are slipping on the motor shafts.

The pulleys have 2 grub screws; one must be tightened up onto the flat part of the motor shaft and both must be tight. Don't use too much force otherwise you will damage the screws/allen key.

Peter

P.S. the extruder motor won't work until the extruder is above 190 degrees.

Hi Peter,

It was the screws, I tightened them and it works like a charm! Thanks!
