PINDA probe to loose

Hello forum,

today my PINDA probe loosend itself. I checked and even when the screws are tightend, I can turn it easily with my fingers.
Is that supposed to be this way?

I tried tightening the screws some more, but they are already quite tight and I am scared I break the plastic part.
As a first aid I screwed the screw that came with the PINDA into place from the bottom, kind of like a counter screw. So far this tightens the loose probe.
I marked the probe and screw to see if it turns again.

Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Re: PINDA probe to loose

You can screw the PINDA down until the edges of the part holding it are pressed together. I had a similar problem. The printer would seem to print fine, then the vibration would move the PINDA and everything would go nuts.

Good Luck!

We had the same problem with the MK2S PINDA mount, wrapping a piece of electrical tape around the threaded part of the PINDA was enough to allow it to be tightened down.
No ill effects, at least not yet.
