PINDA issue

New MK2 printed perfect out of the box for 3 weeks. Then failed prints repeatedly. When I try Z calibration or XYZ, the head goes into the bed.

I tried the test of raising the head and showing endstops and putting metal under PINDA and it goes to 1. OK so far.

I took the PINDA out, moved to the front center where it jams into the bed on calibration and start moving the pinda over the area where it hovers. TOUCHING the plate with the PINDA, sometimes it reads endstop on, sometimes off and usually off in the same spot - like there's not enough metal for the probe.

Do I need a new probe?

Re: PINDA issue

It sounds like the probe has moved up (away from the bed) allowing the head to lower too far. Have you double checked the probe distance to the bed? You could also try lowering it (move close) so it should trigger the Z stop before the head reaches the bed.

If that doesn't fix the issue I would reach out to customer service via the online chat. I had pinda probe issues and it turned out to be a broken wire in the probe. The probe would power on but the z-stop was always on so the head would not lower. After a bit of troubleshooting they sent me out a replacement probe.
