New MK2S Build - Knocking Sounds and Weird Print Pattern

Hoping for some help identifying the problem(s):

Knocking sound

Printing patterns - https://imgur.com/a/NwmLX

Just finished building myself. First time so I probably messed something up. I cannot for the life of me track down where the knocking sound is coming from.

Thanks in advance!

The "patterns', if you will, look like a high spot on your bed causing the live Z to be too close in that area. Most of the rest of that print look fine except for the waves at the front right side.

As for the sound, how tight is that belt?

Loosening the U-bolts on ball bearing and loosing the belt a bit seemed to do the trick. I calibrated and ran the Live-Z calibration print. I went to print the batman print from the sample prints that come with the kit and it sounded fine. No more knocks or any of that.

My print didn't turn out great. The first layer stuck to the surface but I had some inconsistencies (mostly gaps in the first layer). Then something weird happened. The tip nearest the LCD looked like it was warping away from the bed. The very corners of all the edges were "curling" away from the bed. I heard a pop and the print dislodged itself from the bed, causing it to scooch over a tad and mess up the layer the printer was working on.

Any advice on why that might happen?
