Heat Shrink

What is the function of the heat shrink on the threaded Z rods?

Thanks.

Re: Heat Shrink

Hi Glenn

The heat shrink is to secure the push-fit rod/plastic sleeve.

When shrinking, it should overlap a couple of millimetres at both top and bottom. The threaded rods must be firmly pushed down before shrinking.

Ideally, the shrinking should be done with a heat gun at about 250 degrees; ensure it is well shrunk and be careful with heat on the surrounding plastic parts.
