Heat Bed Problem

I've been doing a couple of test prints and have had a couple of issues with the heated bed. When I try and pre-heat for PLA the extruder is the only one that heats up and the heated bed doesn't. However I've had the heated bed start heating up sometimes after I auto homed the axis' and then went to print from SD without pre-heating. I checked the wiring last night and everything looked fine? I'm not really sure what the problem could be?

Re: Heat Bed Problem

Hi Nathan

Best bet - either cabling or fuse.

Take out the fuse (the 15A one) and check it for continuity with a multimeter.

Check the cabling - ensure the screws are really tight on the connector and that the connector is pushed well home.

With a multimeter, first touch the probes together and measure the resistance. Then measure the resistance of the heated bed - touch the probes to the screws on the connector. Take of the probe resistance and you should get a result of 1 to 2 Ohms.
