Clean the nozzle
Hi i'm a very happy cuatomer of your Prusa printer. It works very well!
This morning i was printing a large ABS model and at 70% nozzle stop extruding filament.
I tryed to unload filament and load it again but only few material was extruded.
Do you have any suggestion? Must o clean the nozzle? Don't know how to do it.

One of the best methods for cleaning the nozzle I have found is the Ultimaker Atomic Method" (Google is you friend...)
Your problem may have been caused by excessive retraction; ensure your slicer settings have retraction set to less than 1mm.
You may also find that you have solid plastic in the heat break/heat sink. To clear this, you will have to remove the extruder fan and heat the nozzle for a few minutes which will allow the blocked plasic to become soft and allow it to be pushed through.

Hi PJR, thank you for your suggestion.
I'm using Slic3r with last settings downloaded from Support -> Drivers, retraction length is setted to 1.5mm.
Should this be decreased to 1?
I will follow your advice for cleaning the headsink.

The later driver downloads have Slic3r retraction settings at 0.8mm. It may well be worthwhile that you download and install the latest driver package (1.7.3).

Your profile is named "Prusa I3" only, MK2 drivers default profiles are named "Prusa I3 MK2 ...". You're using different profile.

Yes, right.
I'm using the profile of Prusa i3 plus printer not for the MK2 because i don't own an MK2 yet.
Btw nozzle is still blocked.. damn 🙄
I removed the fan from the extruder and temperature doesn't grow more than 256 degrees.
If i try to press filament by hand, it doesn't melt.
Don't know, anybody have some other suggestion?

UPDATE: i remove the nozzle from the extruder and i put it in some acetone. I hope abs will dissolve so it will be functional again. 😉
