Calibration result values

Is it possible to read the XYZ calibration result values? So when it is "slightly skewed" one can understand what to do, or evaluate the before-after of an adjustment. I think I can't rely much more on my eyes... :geek:

Re: Calibration result values

This was a shower thought of mine as well. It would be a score card of how well the machien was assembled. Wouldnt hurt to have the second set of numbers to fine tune dimensions!

Please implement, Prusa!

Otherwise I might even get up in the sourcecode and make some other changes as well!

I second that.

Re: Calibration result values

One thing I did to help with the skew was to do a "home" and see how the PINDA probe lines up in the circle at the front left of the bed. If the probe is forward in the circle (towards the front) then that means the Z frame needs to go back a bit, toward the rear, and always adjust on the non-power supply side.
I kept adjusting until the probe was dead center and my prints are great.

Re: Calibration result values

i ended up purchasing a rather large digital caliper (18" i think. They are cheap enough), i used that to measure each dimension, distance between parts on both sides, etc, and made a bunch of tweaks until everything was straight, square, and level. The icing on the cake was receiving the all good message the first time I ran the full calibration after the tweaking: "XYZ calibration ok. X/Y axes are perpendicular. Congratulations!"

I still would have liked to know how far off I was on the first attempt. But everything has been printing pretty great since getting that right and the correct smush with the live-z adjust setting

Re: Calibration result values

You will need some nail polish.

Apply like this to the z and x steppers. You can visually see the offset values in degrees/radians if you print a large square.
