uneven vertical shells

Hi, lately I have the problem, that vertical shells get very uneven.

I've printed objects with vertical shells in the past that turned out pretty much perfect, but for some reason I get these rough results lately.
Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Re: uneven vertical shells

check to see if your bed is not loose and try to print in High power mode. are you using the stock spool holder?

Just checked, the bed isn't loose. There is a bit of play, but I think it's the tolerance of the bearings.
So far I have printed almost everything in silent mode, how does high power affect the print quality?
As for the spool holder, I am using the stock holder from the start and it hasn't given me any problems in the past and I modified it a bit to make it go smoother, but I will try to print a stand alone one. Any recommendations?

The only other thing that I can think of is the to check the belt tension being too loose. Belts stretch over time specially when they are new.

Re: uneven vertical shells

After some more testing, I found out that it was not the printers fault, but the filaments. Apparently both spools of white PLA I have, have gone bad. Probably too much moisture. I didn't consider this, because the other prints I did lately came out fine, but they didn't have a simple geometry like the object above, so the problem wasn't that noticible. At least for me.

Thanks for the help anyways.
