Slic3r Always Crashes on Slice

I've been trying to export a simple model (a name plate) that I created in Blender, import it in Slic3r, and then slice it using "slice now", but every time I hit the button it crashes the program.

"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I've tried starting with both OBJ and STL files and with using different export settings and I still get the same error. When I load the pre-loaded files they all seem to work.

How do I find more information to help troubleshoot what is going wrong? I'm currently on Windows 8.1 and using Slic3r Prusa Edition 1.36.2.

Well it looks like it had to do with the unit setting in Blender. I had it set to "Metric" to model everything to scale, but switching to "None" (Blender Units) seems to have stopped the crashing on slice problem.
