Random 'pitting' on every layers
So the first couple of prints I got out of my new Prusa i3 were pretty darn sweet, but now I've run in to something that's got me stuck.
I've got what appears to be random pitting happening on my layers - see photos attached.
Lighting can be tricky, but these are (layer by layer) like thinner sections of extruded filament causing a series of depressions in the overall finish (as opposed to blobs). One photo has some light on it to highlight the problem.
I'm thinking its some kind of under extrusion or not-hot-enough extruder, but I'm really not sure what to fiddle with to try and fix it. Any hints as to what I should try adjusting first? Still trying to get used to the various noises, so not sure if there's anything audible to help diagnose it.
These were printed in 1.75mm PLA, with a layer height of 0.3mm (for speed, but it also happens at 0.25mm), 3 perimeters, 15% rectilinear infill. Sliced using Slic3r with the provided i3 settings (just adjusted the layer height). 210º for the extruder temp and 60º bed for first layer, 50º other.

This can be caused by a few issues, but first try to clean the nozzle. Use the Atomic Method (from point 3): https://ultimaker.com/en/manuals/149-atomic-method
May be that you will need to change the PTFE tubing if there is a lot of burnt fragments that come out with the filament.
Could also be too much heat or poor quality (or damp) filament.

Thanks Peter; I'm just printing a test cube now to see if the Atomic Method has helped. (so far so good...)
I did give some ABS a go, but my bed can't keep the heat up (the spot where my printer is can get a little cold, so I've ordered some cork to line the bed, see if that makes a difference. If not, then I'll have to relocate the printer elsewhere!) It's possible the nozzle could have gotten dirty from that.
