Problems with slic3r adding wrong layers

Hello people,

i am trying to print a stand for a model.

This is the stand how it should look like.

and this how it is sliced by slic3r, enclosing all the details.

This doesn't happen if I rotate the Model on the x or y axis, which doesnt really help in printing it.

Does anyone probably had a similar issue or know why this is happening

Thanks for any tips.

Since it says: "Invalid file extension: codsworth_base.stl" when i try to upload it, ill just give you the Thingiverselink.

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1202520

There it is the codsworth_base.stl

Thanks. I can reproduce the problem. Slic3r complains about the model having errors. The model is very detailed and it contains details, which are far beyond the resolution of the printer. You can try to fix the model using the netfabb.
