Possible over-extruding problem

I purchased the MK2S awhile ago and have not yet figured out Slic3r settings to get clean prints. All the prints from the SD card that shipped with the printer are flawless, but whenever I download something from Thingiverse and try to print it, the layers all seem to bleed into one another. For comparison purposes, I tried to find a frog on Thingiverse that was as similar as possible to the frog whose gcode was included on the SD card. I found this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:182144

Here is the side-by-side comparison (SD card frog on the left, Thingiverse frog on the right):

I looked at the gcode header for the SD card frog and did my best to replicate the Slic3r settings when I sliced the Thingiverse frog, but the problem still persists. Any idea what the problem might be?

Re: Possible over-extruding problem

What layer height are you printing?

Appears the frog on the right is aged with wrinkles 🙂

I believe my Slicer setting had a layer height of 0.10 mm. Does that matter? And if so, what would you recommend? Definitely want to get my frog out of the geriatric ward 🙂
