PLA_Treefrog / Replicate in Cura

Hi Everyone,

Having just finished building my Prusa i3, I am very impressed by the quality of the Treefrog (gcode was found on the SD Card that came with the kit).

Does anyone know how I can replicate the settings used to create this Treefrog gcode in Cura?

Many thanks!

Phil

Re: PLA_Treefrog / Replicate in Cura

Hi Phil

I just had a look at the gcode file but there are very few comments in there regarding the settings used, so I think it will be a matter of opening Slic3r with Josef's defaults and then copying them across to Cura.

Yes, as far as I know, its default setting from Slic3r called 0,05 ULTRA DETAIL. You can set up Cura in same way, but dont expect exactly same result :).

@PJR and @roman.t Many thanks for your answers; it's appreciated. Looks like I won't be able to avoid having to learn how to use (yet) another slicing programme. All part of the fun 😉

It would be good to have also the configuration for Cura, since it seems to be better than Slic3 for supports.
If anyone "translated" the configuration from Slic3r to Cura, can you please share it? 🙂
