PLA cools too fast/PLA Adherence to the plate

I have tried for days now to do my first print.  I can usually get to the second/third layer before the filament (PLA) lets loose of the print plate.  I have live adjusted the Z down to -0.02 and everything in between (o.oo--0.02). It still will not adhere to the plate.  I have nearly used up the sample roll of PLA trying everything I know as a 100% Newbie.  I've looked through forums...the language confuses me...and I have cleaned the plate with alcohol 70% IPA, soap and hot water, and everything else as recommended by some great posts and answers.  Is there a video I can watch that will "step-by-step" me through the first print process and adjustments therein?  I have even gone back to factory defaults, just in case. Thanks.

Hi DDelgardo,

I suspect you have made a typographical error. I would expect LiveZ to be a much bigger Negative Z value than -o.o2mm

Mine is currently -1.285      (Varies with every setup...  this is My chinese Textured Build plate)

Have you seen the 'Life Adjust "Z" My Way' process?

https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-assembly-and-first-prints-troubleshooting/life-adjust-z-my-way/paged/36/

this may help.   the following video is a bit slow, but it covers a similar process.

As joan said above, your live adjusted Z number doesn't look right. I would make sure the distance from the tip of the nozzle to the PINDA probe is "correct" then go through the first layer calibration again.

Here's a video I put together to help with the first layer calibration. I noticed after being on here for bit how many people had a hard time understanding what a good first layer was and how to get to that point.

Good luck!
