My first prints, how to improve??

But Every one of them has some kind of a problem, and I'm not sure what each one is...
All setting and print speeds were at default, straight form the SD card...
I'll number them up and describe them too, to try to keep this structured

1) A hole in the frog's head. looking at the rest of frog it doesn't look like it was underextruding or anything..
2) A line though pug's face - but all the rest looks pretty amazing
3) Very bad layering on top of the pug's head, not even close to photos of how it should look 🙁
4) Frog has a very rough "hairy" belly, also had some very minor stringing
5) Frog's Feet and legs have quite a bad and rough finish
6) Marvin has drooping ears and loop - my guess this is bad bridging?
7) Pug has very visible layer change lines, I'm lost why
There's also a vid with the doggo being printed for kicks.

Hi, I printed Marvin as a first print and I recognize the same defects, like the hanging layers on the bottom and on the hook. When I find out how to improve it, I'll let you know. In the meantime, I follow this topic.

Did you assemble your printer yourself? If so, check the tension of the belts and if the zip ties are fastened.
Furthermore you could decrease the nozzle temp. I found, that Prusa silver PLA works better at 205 °C, maybe even lower.
As for the drooping ears, increase airflow, this might help with overhangs.

I'm having the EXACT same problems! I assembled my kit. I almost danced a jig when my calibration came back "okay/perpendicular/congrats!" My printer is fairly (very?) accurate in regards to dimensions and outlines. However, my tree frog has a fuzzy/hairy belly as well, and my Marvin - printed both off the native SD card file and my own gcode through Slic3r, has a fuzzy bottom 1/4 of the way up and droopy ears. Finally, I printed Benchy the Tugboat at 0.1 mm and, although it's almost perfect but, it has a fuzzy bottom in the front as well. It also has a rough couple layers on the right side (facing the back of the printer while printing). I tried printing all three models twice, in different environments, and all three have the exact same problems in the same places. I also printed that octagonal "3D Test" that has like 20 different tests around its perimeter. Most everything printed well and I was shocked at how well it handled the bridging. However - I had a fuzzy/stringy issue on narrow/skinny vertical objects. These objects printed somewhat okay, but one side was always hairy/stringy/uneven.
Are all these problems linked to cooling? Retraction? Temps? I can't turn my fan up any higher as it's already at 250 and all of these prints, I believe, are printing at 205c with Prusa's bundled silver PLA. It's frustrating because 90% of each print looks really great. Just wanna fix that last 10%.

I looked at all your images and from what I am seeing, you both may have a problem with tension for filament feed. If you are too tight or too loose, you can run into various issues with retraction and feed. I would suggest that you loosen both bolts to the very minimal tension and then try test runs again. Watch the extrusion and if it appears to not extrude and a full turn and try again. Keep doing this until you aren't having a feed problem.
It is better to be a bit on the loose side for the tension than on the tight side IMO.
Note: Also keep the thread depth the same on both sides. If you turn one in, turn the other the same amount.

Hey Chad, thanks for the advice! I never saw an email notification that anyone responded so I'm just getting to this now. I've tried loosening/tightening and somewhere in the process it looks like things have settled down and gotten better. Thanks!
