Anyone using REAL PLA?

Hi,

I'm using this PLA http://real-filament.com/pages/product-details?id=1 and I'm having problems to get it to stick. I now have my Z so low that my first layer looks like very thin plastic film. I'm using the default Prusa PLA 1.75mm setting in Slic3r and cleaned the bed with isopropyl alcohol. So if someone else is using REAL PLA what settings do you have?

Thanks in advance!
Best Nicke

If you cant get pla to stick to the hotbed. Try a thin coating of pva diluted adhesive . Applied with kitchen roll and alloowed to dry before porinting.

I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. Location Halifax UK

Thanks for the advice. I cleared my Live Z and followed the this guide http://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/prusa-i3-kit-building-calibrating-first-print-main-f6/life-adjust-z-my-way-t2981.html (using PLA from Prusa) and when I got perfect prints I changed to REAL PLA and now it seems to work quite well. I also started all prints with a Z value of 20+ to keep the PINDA sensor cool as it seems that when the PINDA is too close to the bed (during warm up) I seem to have problems with getting the PLA to stick to the bed...

Thanks again!

Re: Anyone using REAL PLA?

So if you go to another PLA it sticks just fine then go back to Real and lifts?

Try acetone to clean the bed. When I need extra stickiness I use acetone
