How do you print (almost) sharp edges?

Hello everybody,

I wasn't able to find an answer to my question in this forum, sorry if this already has been answered.

I was creating and printing some tabletop terrain tiles, and it all looks great. But all "edges" that are going in Z-direction are quite round. So let's assume I am printing a cube: Top and Bottom have very sharp edges, but the other four are rounded.

I understand that this has to do, with the shape of the nozzle and how the printer works. But is there any way to reduce this effect?
I am working with Slic3er.

This printer is very capable of sharp corners on all sides. Print a test cube:

and post a photo. It sounds like something is not set correctly.

If you want sharp corners, you could try lowering the perimeter print speed and print the perimeters first.
