Difference between Colorprint and ZHop

What is the difference between Colorprint and ZHop in the Slicer printer settings, and how do I chose the right one?

Cheers, Mik

ZHop profile has Z-lift enabled. Use it unless you want to use ColorPrint application.

Thanks, David.

Is ColorPrint used for multi-color printing or what is it's purpose?

And what would be the likely problems if using ColorPrint when ZHop should be used?

Re: Difference between Colorprint and ZHop

Yes, ColorPrint is used to simplify process of multi-color (layer-based) printing. But basically it does stuff which can be done by hand quite easily.

By using ColorPrint profile instead of ZHop profile you will not use Z-lift feature, which is good for eliminating scars on top solid layers caused by hot nozzle moving too close above the layer, and also for eliminating collisions of the nozzle with slightly warped or curled parts of printed object. But the same feature confuses ColorPrint application, that's why there are two profiles provided.

Thanks!
I have been printing for the entire first week of ownership without ZHop (and no color changes).

I wonder how many of my problem prints will improve with ZHop.....
