Temp tower prebuilt for MK3
warning - do not use this gcode on any printer that is NOT a Prusa MK3, it was sliced in Slic3r Prusa Edition for the Mk3 and modified to change temp as it rises to each bridging section. if you use it on any other printer it can cause errors or damage, as the gcode is formatted specifically for MK3

tests 240-180 in 5 degree increments, with bridging at each temperature range. the original model (without temp change code) is available here
Re: Temp tower prebuilt for MK3
after initial print, i can report that machine jams when attempting to go to 190 with Prusa PLA in silver. Also for information, on this initial print the bridges were closest to spec at the 225 temp
Re: Temp tower prebuilt for MK3
I got the same jam at 190c with prusa PLA. While using a temperature tower is there a risk of getting a bad clog in the nozzle? I want to try it again on some hatchbox PLA but I am a bit worried it could cause problems. This is my first printer.
Re: Temp tower prebuilt for MK3
It would be great to trouble shoot this because MK3 gcode tower is so useful.
edit: also, a temp tower gcode should definitely be in the prusa starter / test print set.
Re: Temp tower prebuilt for MK3
(realize this is an old thread, but it's linked to in a couple places)
I think one way is just to go in with a text editor and change the M104 commands for the lower temps. You're looking for e.g. "M104 S215" (which I pulled from the header block, but it happens every temp change). Just bump the low temp ones up. Also, this gcode seems to spike from 210 to 240 without pausing, so you might consider adding an "M109 S240" instruction after that spike (I'm about to play with this now).
Re: Temp tower prebuilt for MK3
Printer is not jaming at 190C....the firmware prevents extrusion if it reads a hot end temp less than 190C.
Re: Temp tower prebuilt for MK3
Hi! I was looking for a temp tower for the Mk3 and stumbled upon this thread. I know next to nothing about gcode except that is what I export in order to print. (Still a newbie here).
Has there been any modifications done to the original gcode at the start of the thread to just remove the lower values since the printer won't work with them anyway?
Re: Temp tower prebuilt for MK3
Keep getting a preheat error at z 2.75 , just starting the bottom of the first leg layers, about 1.5mm above the base.
