Suggestion: auto-preheat when loading filament

Every time I go to load filament I forget I have to pre-heat the nozzle. The printer then complains "pre-heat the nozzle first you dummy!".

The printer knows it needs to pre-heat the nozzle, so why doesn't it instead say "hold on, pre-heating nozzle", pre-heat, then beep to signal it's time to load filament? That'd save me many menu clicks as I forget every time!

And to which temperature should it preheat?

Maybe an automatic popup of the Preheat menu?

Maybe an automatic popup of the Preheat menu?

Yep, that would work!

+1 for a good idea. No where near crucial, but this would be a nice addition.

+1, I agree this would help and would save aggravation. Maybe fire up a wizard for changing the filament, but to just give me an error that the extruder is not heated up is pretty useless other that to make me jump through hoops to find that option, preheat it, and then try it.

BTW, it will be nice to have some warning that, you can't turn off the printer, if the nozzle temperature is still > 50 °C (and fan is cooling). It is very important, because it is possible to get clogged headbreaker.

💡 I'm thinking about flashing number with nozzle temperature until the temperature get down below 50 °C and fan has stopped.
