Second serial line support implemented to allow Pi Zero W communication
Has any one got this working yet, do you have to change a setting in the printer control panel?
Octoprint State: Error: Failed to autodetect serial port, please set it manually. I have tried manually changing the baud rates. Any help please.

Yes I'm on the later firmware, flashed it this morning and connected my Pi Zero.

Yeah I realised you probably had when I re-read the topic and saw you'd basically quoted the release notes. 🙂

I also downloaded and flashed the latest firmware. I now see an entry in settings called '2nd USART' that is set to off. You might try setting that to on. That might be enabling the serial port that the pi zero connects to.

Thanks I'll give it a try when my current print is finished in about 2.5 hrs.

I changed the setting but it didn't work however my octoprint now says "State: Error: Failed to autodetect serial port, please set it manually." There's no options other than Auto!

I was having the same problem detecting the serial port, but got it figured out and working!!
