Random resets - earthing problem - easy fix!
I was experiencing random resets every few minutes after a couple of hours printing.
I checked the electricity supply, PSU, wiring, overheating etc. but all checked out. On a hunch, I checked the main board earthing. Someone else had reported earthing problems on a 3d printer forum, so I thought it was worth checking out.
I attached an alligator clip from the M3 bolt on the main board to the M3 bolt attached to the frame and voila! - problem fixed!
The attached photo shows the permanent solution. The grey wire with an eyelet on each end connects the main board M3 bolt with the M3 bolt holding the hinge to the frame. It would be easy to add as a permanent kit item.

good find but why does it need an earth thought it should be isolated its in a plastic box with plastic hinges explain why I am not really up on electronics

does it not mean something else is not earthed correctly you cured your fault but not the problem am I being thick lol
