MK3 Printing speed
Hello everyone,
I was wondering what speed you guys use successfully on MK3 printers. Normal Slic3r Config is 50mm/s, but even on MK2s I could reach a good 60-70 mm/s at 0,2 layer height without much of quality issues. I am now printing my first parts on the MK3 and slowly adjusting the settings for best quality, but wanted to know what you guys are using =)
Hope to achieve around 80mm/s!
Re: MK3 Printing speed
I tend to run 70-90 for PETG, 90-120 for PLA. Depending on layer height and other slicer settings, you should be able to go much faster than 80.
I still tend to slow down to 80 or even slower for first layer or for the outermost perimeter.
Re: MK3 Printing speed
On big open areas, where the printer can really open up on straight lines. I have seen Slic3r PE & Prusa Control both kick out gcode running 184mms for PLA! and 122mms for PETG! In both cases it printed perfect, and I was even able to turn the speed up to about 125% more before the Bondtech started skipping. Assuming that it was actually the heater that couldn't keep up.
The MK3 is FAST!!!
Re: MK3 Printing speed
Could someone please post the slic3r settings in the speed section for a reasonably fast print speed for PLA? I'm sorry for my newbish question but I guess I learned on Cura where I can put in the overall print speed I'm using and it auto generates the remaining speed values. Guess I still have a lot to learn......

If you install Slic3r PE it has pretty good speed settings to start with by default (they've been updated) for MK3. Here are the defaults in the Speed section:
Older version of Slic3r PE had settings that were way too fast but it's been updated.
