Grinding sound

Hi Guys,
I received my MK3 about a week ago been printing everything under the sun fantastic printer I love it, whisper quiet, till the last few days now I get this grinding sound from the hot end carriage, here's a short video you can really hear it toward the end. (This was a fully assembled unit). It hasn't hurt the quality of the prints. I was wondering if it's something I can fix before I have to call customer support. I tightened everything I could see on the out side, maybe it's the bearings I don't know. https://www.dropbox.com/s/trc61q95ljnlvwg/20180318_192545.mp4?dl=0

Re: Grinding sound

Hard to tell as the sound is hard to make out. My best guess would be one of the bearings failing. Did you loose any bearing balls during the build of the printer?

This sounds "similar" to https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3-f30/mk3-is-loud-during-parts-of-printing-t14998.html

My thought with this sound would be to see if your rods are smooth still? It does sound a bit like grindy bearings.

Re: Grinding sound

This was a fully assembled unit it was running great for a few days, and everything seems tight And far as the rods, there nice and smooth.
