Does filament jam detection work ?

Nozzle clog happened and the printer printed in the mid air for my recent few prints.

Is MK3 supposed to have the function of detecting filament jam ?

Has anyone tested this function?

My filament sensor seems to be ok , at least autoloading of filament works for me.

A nearly completely Yoda. I wanted to cry... if only the jam detection worked...

(I printed it on its back)

my bondtech gear and I wasn't extruding but no error so I would say no, that said it was a clear natural pla. According to the manual lime green can cause problems with the sensor so maybe it was that

I have a 3d pen for cases like this. You could fill that last layer and then sand it to shape..
