Bondtech gears not catching filament?
So I've completed a number of PLA prints on the MK3, and I was halfway through a PETG print when I noticed plastic wasn't being extruded anymore. After messing around a little, I found that the gears couldn't grab the filament. When I try to load filament, I can pull the filament right out, and the filament won't extrude at all unless I push it in by hand. I tried tightening what I think is the idler, but it doesn't seem to have an effect. Any idea on how to fix this issue?

I fixed it! Interestingly, loosening the idler did the trick. Tightening the idler way past the suggested amount also got the filament to extrude, but it also made it click. I have no idea why this worked.

Spoke too soon. It worked for a few minutes, but now it's not catching again...

Okay, I think I actually figured it out this time. I think the PET is clogging like crazy. It was the stuff Prusa sent with my mk2.5 upgrade too 😐

What temp are you printing at?

230 - The default PET temperature and the temperature on the MK2.5 printed parts gcode file. I turned it up to 240, and it's not fully clogging anymore, but it is extruding somewhat inconsistently.

This sounds like a good time to dig out that needle they supplied with the kit and try to unclog your nozzle. Probably something in there creating a partial blockage.
