Issue with raised text and numbers

Hello,

Trying to print out a model with raised text and numbers. Using .4mm nozzle. Retraction length: 0.8 and Lift Z: 0.6. Any suggestions why the top of the text and numbers and in between them have bumps and extra plastic? Is it simply because I need a small nozzle? Like .15mm? Image of final model.

Hi Maincityimp.
when you insert the pictures, could you please click Link To: Media File?

this will allow people to click on the image, and see a larger version

as for the spike... you could try reducing the Flow rate / Extrusion multiplier a little or take off Z lift

A smaller nozzle may help at the expense of longer print times.
0.15 mm nozzle would be a challenge, try 0.25mm  as it will be easier to work with, and Prusa have a ready made profile available via Calibration Wizard
regards Joan
