X Axis Layer Shift

I am having an odd issue on taller prints. When the print gets to a certain height it starts to have x layer shift issues. I went through the layer shift guide on the prusa website and everything checks out fine. Belt tension is good, recently lubricated the bearings, made sure all the axis can move freely, and checked to make sure the pulleys are tightened on the flats of the shaft.

I really am perplexed why short prints are perfect but taller prints have random shifts.

I have attached an example picture. They are all at a similar height and all shift to the right it seems. The middle print I stopped when it started printing in mid air.

@josiah

It doesn't look like your images made it, maybe try again.

The forums won't let me upload it... Are photo links allowed?

RE: X Axis Layer Shift

yes for sure they are, you click on the add media button and drag and drop them from your computer right in to the window. I have looked at a couple of your past Photos and they are huge in file size. If you have a way to reduce them I'll advise that, and I'm going to recommend that you do post them via the Button once they upload you can use button. We have some users (I frankly don't blame them) that will not use outside services to view images or Project files here for security reasons. So if you can please post that way, the forum does provide a way, and it sets you up for the best possible help.

Sorry not trying to make it difficult, it is the way to get the best help and make people that can help you feel comfortable viewing your information.

Sorry took a while, I had to save the files in a smaller resolution. There are no issues at lower levels, but I have had two prints in a row with issues at higher levels. I am going to try to update the firmware to try and help.

I just had the same issue that my y-axis (could also be your x-axis) is not moving smoothly.

I had several crashes detected because of that but the auto recalibration of the x/y-axis during the print couldn't fix it.

Fixing my y-axis bearing mounting did it for me.
