What's wrong with the new Slic3r Prusa Edition?

Hi,

I've just downloaded the last version of Slic3r Prusa Edition and I cannot slice models correctly! Could anyone help? Below a model that I cannot slice (there is flying building).

Moreover, I've been trying all day with a plethora of settings with another model, and the printer fails instantly when printing the skirt. Same models sliced with Ultimaker Cura print like a charm.

Cheers,
Roberto

Please provide more details what exactly is failing, not working. Screenshots would be also nice.

I just tried your model, the STL contains 4825 errors. That's probabaly the reason why it can't be sliced correctly.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer and sorry for my silence but I did not see the notifications. I am wondering why Ultimaker Cura is able to slice and print the model like a charm.

Best,
Rob

Depending on your settings, Cura may be running an auto-repair. You can do the same in Slic3rPE via File->Repair STL file... . Select your STL file, give it a new name for the repaired version, then try slicing that. I just did a quick test and it slices. Of course, no guarantees it'll print well.
