Hello,

Would anyone have an idea why my 3D print has this weird “layer bubble” on the vertical side? Please see attached 2 files. It seems to happen every time the printer prints a flat surface, and then it somehow creates this layer bubble on the adjacent exterior vertical face. Never had this issue until recently. Thickness of the vertical face is 6mm.

I noticed in slicer and g-code viewer the top solid infill and the bridge infill extends about halfway into the vertical walls. Is this normal?

I’ve tried drying the filament, increasing the vertical shells perimeters to 3. Changing to a different Infill pattern. For this print I used a Rectilinear fill pattern with Fill density of 20%. I am using i3 MK3S+ printer, with Firmware 3.13.2.

I thought this started to happen recently, but I did a similar print few months back and noticed the same issue.

RE: Wall Buldge

Search the forums for this issue.  There are threads and suggestions but I think it is an issue with the slicer and needs to be addressed there.  I just had a print and the bulge issue is very large.  Much worse than what you have.

Ok thanks. While waiting for a response I found a thread going back few years that seem to address this issue.
