Tiny Letter Stamp / possible and how to configure at best

dear community,

this is my first post and also one if the first tiny items I try to master.

I have the standard 0.4 mm nozzle installed in my i3 mk3s and like to print a tine "E" stamp with thin elements.
Any idea if this is possible or if I need to bye an 0,2 mm nozzle?

Its only 72.07 mm^2 at 100%.

I am open for any suggestions.

The printer is loaded with PLA and the flat steel sheet.

Hi, this item is very small with thin sections, the 0.4mm nozzle will not work with the STL as it is,
even going down to a 0.2mm nozzle will not give a good resolution...

In the attached .3mf file, I have used the 0.4mm nozzle and changed the XY Size compensation, which gives a much better resolution,

changing to a 0.25mm nozzle and using XY size compensation, would also work, giving a finer background

0.4mm nozzle with 0.15mm XY Size Compensation

@joantabb

Dear Joan,

thank you very much for this valuable solution.

I was not able to open your attached file but could re-create the results as described by you.

Next steps will be to mirror the letter and run a test to emboss a clay item.

Result, surface sanded with grain 1000

Result, raw

Layers, raw

Settings & slicer view:

Small gaps in the basement layer lines, no idea why they occur.

XY settings

to mirror the item, select it in Prusa Slicer,
Right click, and select Mirror... along X axis... and the job is done!

regards Joan
