Small holes getting plugged - PETG printing

I'm trying to print some backup parts (extruder pieces) in PETG, but the holes for the screws are getting filled in with gunk.

The first few layers look fine, but at the end of the print, you can't see through the holes anymore.

Any idea what might be causing this and how to correct it?

Hi Tim,

Can you post a picture of your print? Also telling the printing temperatures and the filament brand might help in diagnosing the problem.

Which slicing profile did you use?

Here's a picture.  I'm using Matterhackers Build PETG with 1st layer 230/85 and rest at 235/90.

I'd guess printing too fast and layers aren't adhering as they should.
