Reviving my old printer - Need help
Hello! My printer has been sitting for over a year and I finally got around to getting it set up again.
I thought I had everything dialed in, but evidently not. This was a prebuilt printer, used to work well, has done okay on some other prints I have done. I spent a long time trying to get my first layer z correct.
I’m using overture PLA with a Prusa PLA settings
Any suggestions on what to adjust next? Is my PLA too old?

Try clean the bed loob rods and print a simple box then post photos of box so we can see what needs adjusting thanks

That is one filthy slimy print bed.
additive free dish soap, lots of hot water, a good scrub, paper towel dry, handle only by edges.
Don’t trust forum advice.
The three common reasons for prints suddenly failing after a printer has been unused for a while:
A dirty print bed. Give it a really thorough clean and avoid touching the print area.
Damp filament. Look up threads here about drying filament especially if it has been left open.
General neglect, dust and cobwebs... Basic cleaning, lubrication and general maintenance have all been missed.

I thought the same thing.
cleaned the print bed, adjusted nozzle and bed temperature, first layer looked good. I came back later to a similar situation as the photo with the black PLA. Parts knocked all over the place.

Hi Kirk,
If you are not already using 7x7 mesh bed levelling, please turn it on, using the LCD Menu
did you use hot water and dishsoap? rinsing well and drying with plain paper towels
If not, please try it.
If you did use hot water, try it again, and don't wipe with IPA afterwards.
then try 70C on the bed for PLA.
then ensure your first layer calibration is good. readjust if necessary.
then try a simple print

That mini octopus is not a simple print.
