Requesting new "Improve Print Quality" video (idler tension issue)
Hello,
I recently upgraded from an i3 MK3S to an MK3S+, and I can no longer get the method to adjust the idler screw tension outlined in the official Prusa "How to improve the quality of your 3D prints on the Original Prusa i3 MK3?" video (timestamp @ 0:52)
The filament seems to catch way too early, and the screw no longer sits close to flush as described in the idler screw tension KB article. The door does not open as much as in that video or as much as I believe my MK3S did as well.
I believe that I am putting too much pressure on the filament; I am getting some inconsistent layers and the Bondtech gears seem to be digging in to the filament more than I would expect. Additionally, unloading the filament requires more force than before.
Is the idler screw tension method outlined in this video now obsolete with the MK3S+, and is there a more current video outlining the same process on the MK3S+ if it has changed? Otherwise, is making sure the idler screw is flush or no more than 1mm away the best advice?
