Reducing staircase effect without lowering the layer height globally
Hi,
I'm trying to print a fairly large marble corkscrew conveyor. With 0.2mm layer height, there is a fairly strong staircase effect which makes the marbles stutter quite a lot.
I know I could reduce layer height, but printing times explode.
Is it possible to add thin layer patches just at the right place to smooth out the staircase, before the remaining of the layer is printed full thickness? It seems it would work technically if we have the gcode, but does this exist on the software side?
