Prusament PLA problems

Hi,

I am getting the following problems (see images below).
Any idea why these PLA blobs appear?
I have the newest firmware, ran the calibration wizzard, using prusament PLA.

apreciate your help.

RE: Prusament PLA problems

Is this a newly set up printer or have you recently changed the nozzle?

It looks like plastic is running down from above the heater block.

Check your nozzle is inserted like this:

See especially under the heading 'Final inspection'

I think your heatbreak and nozzle have a gap.

Gap

I had similar problems a while back. It definitely seems that there is a gap in the hotend assembly.

Maintenance Needed

It's older PINDA so not new setup, I'm going with Improper nozzle Install.

The layer shifting could be a symptom of the leaking nozzle, however it could also be a separate issue that needs to be addressed.

This is not the fault of the PLA.

Yes, the gap was the problem.
Reassembled everything now it is back to normal.
