Problems printing PETG

I seem to be having a problem printing with PETG. I tried finding a similar problem on the forum but I couldn't seem to find one. I'm using Hacthbox PETG Pan-tone Orange. I able to print PLA just fine but IDK what the problem is.

  1. This is a Mk2S, isn't it? Not a Mk3 as the forum which you've picked would suggest
  2. Most likely a contaminated PEI surface. Make sure you wash it properly. (water, dish soap, then acetone and finish with windex for PETG)
  3. PETG may require re-doing Live Z calibration, even if PLA worked fine.

RE: Problems printing PETG

Also, PETG is some sticky stuff if the temps are not high enough.  You see how your skirt came unattached?  That is either a dirty PEI (harder to do with PETG, but not impossible) or temp is too low.  Also, the gaps around the circle on the edge can be because the temp is too low or the live z is not right.  Although, most have to up the live z for PETG from PLA (eg add .02 - .04 to the PLA live Z).  Presuming your live z is good for PLA and you are not getting those gaps.

What filament profile / Temps are you using?  I have printed mostly Hatchbox and Amazon Basics PETG and find that 235 - 240  for the nozzle are good and problem free.  Some of the set generic PET profiles are at 230, so that could be it.

The Life z thread in the assembly subforum has some sample calibration prints to use for dialing in your live z with PETG...
