problem with partly detached ledge inside cylinder
This is my first attempt at a print of my own design - just got the printer a few days ago.
It is part of an alternative lens cap for canon lenses. Most has worked fairly well, but there is a ridge on the inside surface of the cylinder, and the first layer that includes this ridge has pulled free for the cylinder and formed a chord, rather than following the surface of the cylinder.
I designed it with openscad and used prusa control to generate the printer file.
Will I need to switch to slic3r and do clever spells, or can I make it work through prusa control?

Seems like you’re trying to print on air. Physics won’t let you. 😀
Try adding support. If slic3r adds too much then tree support from meshmixer will do.

You could also add a 45° chamfer to this edges. They would make your piece printable without supports.

This has to mate to a metal bayonet socket with no chamfer, but I might try a very small angle one

I'll give it a go, have to wean myself of prusacontrol first tho!
