print prusament pc blend
hello
so i printed 3 boxes with pc blend
the print is good but the boxes were glued on the surface ...
as you can see the surface is now damaged ...
it seems that the tray has overheated
so what's my error ? do i need to put gluestick on the tray before printing ? or anything else ?

Yeah, operator error.
The Materials table clearly states "glue stick required". And the spool comes with glue stick (at least it did for me).

But if it helps… you're not the first one doing this. I speak from experience… ☹️

Yes, a release agent is mandatory with Prusament PC Blend. When I got the spool I have, they included a glue stick just to be sure.
I've also used it with Layerneer, and that works quite well, and does not leave any patterns on the bottom of the prints.
Twice now I've had stuck prints pull off pieces of the PEI coating on Prusa smooth build plates.
The first was my fault, when the machine was new to me and I was unfamiliar with the Prusa PEI plates. I got impatient with a stuck ABS print and used a metal kitchen implement to pry it off, along with a few small pieces of PEI coating. Lesson learned the hard way! If I had let it cool it most likely would have released cleanly.
The second time it was with a well-used build plate surface (actually, the reverse, the 'good' side of the plate I ruined before) and a much larger piece came off (photo below) even though I had used Layerneer and cooled it in the refrigerator when I realized it was not easily releasing
I ended up re-skinning that particular plate, which was an exercise in masochism that I do not plan on repeating! If you wish, you can read all about that little adventure here:

one of the good things about people recounting their experiences with PEI replacement, is that you can decide in advance whether to punish yourself or just buy a new Build sheet.
for tiny damage I use kapton tape,
for larger damage, I use the other side...
when there are no 'other sides', I get a new build plate ready for next time! 🙂

I've ordered the 'factory second' build plate, and quite honestly I can't tell the difference between it and a first rate one.
