Possible to get nice supported surface in PETG?

I wonder whether anyone has managed to get nice supported surfaces using PETG.

I have MK3S-MMU2S, and could add a roll of PVA, for example, for soluble support. Seems like I could include a solid volume of PVA to make a nice internal top surface that would support the bottom surface of my desired part.

But does PETG bond well enough to PVA to be able to print well on top of the PVA surface? Can you mix PVA and PETG materials in a print?

What materials are PVA compatible?

You can use regular PLA as a breakaway support for PETG, and vice versa. They're compatible enough it holds but breaks away very easily. You can do zero-clearance "soluble" supports without soluble material.

Just beware purging (just as with PVA) is a bear; if you don't purge enough the contamination can cause your model to split at that layer. I recommend highly contrasting colours for tests, e.g. black support material and yellow or white base material to make it very easy to see if there's still colour contamination after purge.

Expect at least 2, probably closer to 3x the default value of 70.
