petg and setting problems
I'm brand new to this. I started a purusa petg filement print of my on file. Z axis at -1.150. Everything was going great until one corner lifted from the bed 30% into it. I removed the part and started over without changing any settings. I go to "print from sd" the print starts but states it is using a pla 215deg temp. When I started my first print it did what it should do, 230deg for petg. The warping from the bed with the first print is one problem but now I think the bigger problem is the printer will not use the petg 230deg setting.
RE: petg and setting problems
Hi Gerald,
are you sure you are printing the correct file.
does it say PLA or PETG, in the file title?
Did you select preheat the first time?

RE: petg and setting problems
I guess I got lost somewhere and screwed some settings when I made a second attempt to print but with that said why would the first print start to warp 30% into it when all the settings where correct?
RE: petg and setting problems
To be honest Gerald, I have no idea.
at the moment I don't know anything about your prints apart from "they failed"
Some models are prone to warping,
For instance
these models have sharp points which are prone to lifting.
and the build plate is the Textured PEI.
can we see a picture of a first layer, and
a picture of a failed print, on the build plate before you remove it...
Do you use any surface preparation on the build plate.
regards Joan
