Nut insertion

Hy all 🙂

Today, i'm trying to enclosed a small nut in a 3D printed part.

The "pause" fonction on prusa slicer work perfectly but during pause, petg continue to flow down from the extruder and when I resume the print, I'm noticing a small lack in the first resumed layer :

I'm affraid that this will weaken my print.

Do you know how to correctly resume the print ?

Thanks by advance !

Try adding a color change instead of pause, insert nut, unload and load same filament.
That way printer will push out new fresh filament before it starts printing again

I prefer to do this instead of using pause

Prusa i3 MK3S+ FW 3.11.0 (kit dec -20), PrusaSlicer 2.5.0+win64, Fusion 360, Windows 10

Ok !

Thanks for your feedback !

I will try this.

I was wondering about expend the skirt upond the pause layer or had a simple object that would suffer the lack of material istead of my main part.

But your option seem's far better to me.

Thanks again !

RE: Nut insertion

Can't you clear the excess material from the nozzle with pliers (or if you're a real man just use your fingers)
