Lopsided Print
I figure I'm pushing things a bit here trying to print something so small and expecting to see the actual part look like the drawing. It's not a big deal and I can live with what I've got, but I'm curious as to why the tip of this thing is lopsided. This was printed in spiral vase mode but it looks similar when that option is off (but spiral vase mode got rid of the spider webs, at the expense of being able to only print 1 of these at a time). Any ideas?
In case you're wondering, it's 1/2 of a miniature rolling pin for my wife's craft business. I print 2 of these then glue them together.
Re: Lopsided Print
Are you using a 0,4 nozzle?
Re: Lopsided Print
Yes. I assume it would be better using a smaller nozzle, but then again maybe it would mean I would just see less lopsidedness. I'm wondering if the forced air cooling of the nozzle and extrusion is the cause.
Re: Lopsided Print
Have you tried printing it solid 100% fill how big is it 3mm in diameter for the large part? i would print it enlarged until you get a good print ... perhaps 500%? and then start reducing it until you get problem then try it with a 0.25 nozzle
