I keep having to change Z offset lower over time
So I got a fully assembled MK3S+ about 3 days ago, printed great out of the box. The Z offset from the factory worked perfectly on the smooth steel using PLA. I got the Z axis configured for the satin steel and it worked great doing PETG. I started noticing after around 5 prints or so I would have to lower the Z offset to maintain adhesion. I have had to lower it 3 times so far roughly .1 mm or so at a time. I am slicing using Prusa Slicer, mostly .2mm layer depth and no custom settings other than the filament type.
It prints great for a x number of prints and then I have to lower it to keep first layer adhesion. I am cleaning the steel sheets with Ispopropyl alcohol between every print as recommended. I don't have any acetone on hand to see if that helps.
Any ideas? I am guessing there is some kind of Z sense drift going on?
My assumption is this is not normal. Should I re-run the wizard?
RE: I keep having to change Z offset lower over time
Is the Pinda firmly mounted in its holder?
Have you done a general inspection and tightening of any loose screws/bolts on the unit?
Please show us a Z calibration print *on the print sheet*.
Cheerio,

It happens. Give the screw that holds the Pinda sensor in place a slight turn to make sure it's tight.
