How to support this file
I'm printing some files for a friend. These files as a challenge for me as I've never had the need for supports in so many small areas. So I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
I've tried printing this file "flat" where it is on the build plate as it would be placed when it's being used. The underside of the platform printed horrible. I basically painted supports covering the entire bottom of the platform. What I got was a mess of stringy looking filament and no detail. The railing came out OK but a lot of cleanup. I painted supports in key locations on the railing and the overhangs of the flooring that stick out past the railing on each side. The only thing that looks good is the top of the platform.
Should I try this vertically? if so what orientation? Which supports? Should I print it the same way but use snug supports? I just need some advice please

Unfortunately I didn't save the project file. I have uploaded a couple of pictures of the print. I might have the actual gcode file if that's what you are asking for. I will have to look when I get a chance later today.

Without images or file it is impossible to say something to help you.
What about putting it in zipfiles on a cloud service (icloud, one drive, etc. ) and give the downloadlink here.

Thank you. I could succesfully download and open the file in PrusaSlicer.
Nice puzzle to find a kind of solution. I see two options:
If you want to print in one piece, the best is to turn the object untill most lines are in an angle of 45 degrees or above.
I used enforced supports to only have support in the lower part. Printing like this is risky. You could be lucky and most lines are OK. But if not, you have to do the whole thing again. (and maybe more then once).
Print in parts (best option I think).
As you see I cutted the thing in 3 parts. Close to the railings, Paying attention I would not cut small parts off.
I added dowels so it is easy to glue together again.
NB: For the dowel, I do not use round onces, like Prusa slicer does, but simply print a couple triangled, they will always fit, with a bit of pressure. For glue I use something like this: https://www.bison.net/en-en/products/bison-max-repair-power-blister-8-g-multi-lang . It gives you nice long time to place the parts (bit of glue in the holes, add the dowels (triangled), glue on one side of the cut.
Press together, put tension on it, with a clamp or whatever available, wipe of glue with alcohol/IPA, let rest for 24 hours).
PS: I use organic supports, they come of easy and clean (and not too much filament).

Please do the cutting and slicing in your own slicer (so you know what you are doing, and it will fit to your printer).
NB: In the example I picked per abuse the plug and not the dowel. Please select the dowel!
Also included a triangle dowel 2mm. Scale in prusaslicer to what you need.
Cut with scissors/knife to length you need.

PS: Do not print all in one time. If you have an error only one part will be wrong at a time
