How to print this very small piece

Hi guys, I am quite new to 3D printing, found a piece which is an adapter of a butane canister to refill some kitchen lighter with gas. You can find the model here.

But when I printed it although I choose 0.05 Ultra detail, PLA and 100% infill on the Prusa Slicer profile, the quality of the thinner part is really bad.

Any tips of how to print this? If I try to slice on Vase mode it seems some parts are not going to be printed at all.

Thank you!

No point in printing that so fine.

Try 0.2mm layers, 30% fill and 6 perimeters.  It's probably best to print at least two copies on the bed at once to aid cooling.

If it needs more strength raise the print temperature 5 degrees but you might be better using PETG for toughness.

Too small for the filament to cool down properly. So either adjust minimum layer time in Prusaslicer and/or do what diem suggested, print multiple copies at the same time. I'd probably print a dozen, because why not.

Also, anything less than 0.1 mm layer height is not going to give you any more detail with a 0.4 mm nozzle and is certainly not required for this model.

For something with as little footprint as this it may also be advisable to add a brim. But is easy and quick enough to test without it first.

Hi there, yup, I usually add a brim on these small prints because otherwise the item might get too unstable 😉 thanks!

An easy solution for issues with such tiny parts is to print multiple copies at once, also print it slow with high part cooling.
