I wash my build plate,
hot water and dish soap,  with a NEW kitchen sponge,  rub firmly to lift surface contaminents, rinse well with clean hot water and DRY IMMEDIATELY with clean plain paper towels. 

Do not touch the build surface, after cleaning.

What Joan said. On a first sight, your first layer calibration doesn't seem off but it is a bit hard to see on the pictures if it could maybe still optimized a bit.

If your plate is already older or you are just tired of the rigid cleaning procedures, you can also join the dark side and use adhesives. I have done so and not regretted it so far. For some filaments like PC-Blend you have to use them anyway. I made good experiences with the Dimafix stick as general adhesive (very easy to rinse off with running water, I just wipe the plate dry immediately with a paper towel and usually don't even use IPA usually anmore. Just every once in a while a proper dish soap cleaning.), for PC-Blend, TitanX and ASA I use Magigoo PC (the latter two at least stick too well to Dimafix). 

The adhesives last you a long time. I haven't emptied any of those within a full year.

i do all this, its building up on the nozzle ,, i have few 100 hours of prints , and then this happened... im going to change the nozzle out today. dont know what else to try.

What material are you printing? PETG by any chance? It has a track record of being sticky and messing up nozzles.

Does the failure always happen right after the first layer or soon afterwards?

If PLA is building up like crazy no your nozzle there is clearly something wrong, either your filament is wet or there is some issue with the printer or the 1st layer calibration.

Are there any loose screws maybe somewhere and your extruder drags along/doesn't keep its correct height? When you watch the print, does it.

If you do extrude manually does the filament leave the extruder nicely in a well shaped string that curls itself up nicely to a ring shaped tower? Do you hear any hissing, see any bubbling or strange behaviour?

There are visible smears on the print sheet ... clean it.

It does look like an adhesion issue. Like Diem said, clean the build plate again (the way Joan described). Redo 1st layer calibration. If that doesn't help, it could be that your build plate has degraded. Depending on what you print built plate adhesion is getting worse over time, even with rigid cleaning. 

Either try a different build plate or try printing with adhesive agents like Dimafix or so. If that works fine it would confirm that your issue is adhesion indeed.

The smears have been there and the bed is clean, that's where a few prints wore the bed down from a failure, never caused an issue,  I ordered some glue, il try that next, and then a new plate.

Back for more help, changed beds added glue, but I'm getting build up on the prints think it's what was causing prints to.not stick, this never really happened till I switched to 2.5 slicer, it's around same time prints started failing, I'm using basic pla profile....any thoughts

That doesn't look like an adhesion/1st layer issue anymore but a bridging issue, at a relatively sparse infill. In general I would say do some or all of the following: slow down print speed (especially but maybe not only for bridging moves), increase infill rate, increase cooling if it isn't at max yet, decrease hotend temperature a bit (within the range of your filament).
