Filament jams after reducing model size

Hello. I am a beginner. Successfully printed the Prusa logo and tree frog. I then downloaded a model into PrusaSlicer and shrank the model by 50%. Printing the resulting gcode started well but about 1/2 way through, got a heat break jam. Fixed that and again calibrated and printed the logo again. Tried a different model, again shrank by 50% and got another filament jam.

What is going on? Is there some correlation between shrinking down a model and jams? I have not yet tried to print the models full size.

Thanks.

No, there is no correlation.

Are you printing PLA? Is your printer in an enclosure, what's the ambient temperature? The MK3's hot end is known for it's temperature sensitivity. See https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/extrusion-stopped-mid-print_1948 for description and how to prevent it.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Find out why this is pinned in the general section!
